On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahaguru Sri Chattampi Swamikal, I had the rare privilege of receiving the prestigious Sri Vidyadhiraja Award, instituted by the Nair Service Society (NSS).
I received the award today (September 2) at the sacred birthplace memorial of Swamikal at Kannammoola, Thiruvananthapuram, in the presence of hundreds of members of the community. The award was presented by Hon’ble Health and Devaswom Minister Shri K. Muraleedharan.
I consider this ceremony one of the most precious and memorable moments of my life. It was an added honour to receive the blessings and words of wisdom of the distinguished poet Shri Madhusoodanan Nair, whose work I greatly admire. Dr. Poojappura Krishnan Nair delivered the keynote address.
The function was presided over by Shri M. Sangeeth Kumar, Vice President of the Nair Service Society and President of the Thiruvananthapuram Taluk NSS Union.
Women’s Union President Smt. M. Easwari Amma, along with Union office-bearers Shri M. Karthikeyan Nair, Shri K. R. Vijayakumar, and Shri Viju V. Nair, were also present on the dais.
I receive this honour with profound gratitude and humility, and dedicate it with reverence to the timeless legacy and teachings of Mahaguru Sri Chattampi Swamikal.
